How to find us

We’re really well placed, right in the middle of the UK. We’re close to the motorway network, a train station and Birmingham airport, so you can join us easily for a class by road, train or plane!

Our stunning, purpose fitted cake studio is a building in the grounds of the beautiful Hagley Hall and 350 acres of parkland.

Arriving at Hagley Hall:

The entrance to Hagley Hall (and the other buildings in the grounds of the Hall) is on a sharp bend. You will see the signs for Hagley Hall and the drive to the hall is on the right. To get to us, bear left, past a pretty yellow house on your left and past the back of some brick buildings also on your left. Beware of the speed bumps! There will be a wooden gate in front of you (which is normally open) and you need to bear left just before this. It is signposted “Hagley Hall Mews & Old Woodyard”. Drive through this card park and bear left. You can park anywhere on the left hand side. To walk to the front door of our studio, turn left again into The Old Woodyard and we are in the far left corner.

From London

  1. Take the A40/M40 onto the M42 South West signposted Redditch and Worcester
  2. Immediately after junction 1 (A38 Bromsgrove) follow signs for Stourbridge, Birmingham, M5 North West and take the left hand filter lane
  3. This joins the M5. Leave at the next exit – junction 4 (A491) following signs for Stourbridge
  4. At the second roundabout (A456) turn right as though going back the way you’ve come but then turn left into Park Road
  5. Over the staggered crossroads by the Lyttelton pub, into Hall Lane
  6. The main gates to Hagley Hall are 200 metres on the right

From the North

  1. Take the M6, past junction 8 and then filter left to join the M5 South West
  2. Exit from the M5 at junction 3 (A456), following the signs for Kidderminster
  3. After the fourth roundabout descend the steep hill past the traffic light junction with the A491 (Stourbridge) and turn almost immediately left (car show room on corner)
  4. After 200 metres turn left into Hall Lane
  5. The main gates to Hagley Hall are 200 metres on the right

From the South

  1. Join the M5 North West and leave at junction 4 (A491), turning left following the signs for Stourbridge
  2. At the second roundabout (A456) turn right as though going back the way you’ve come but then turn left into Park Road
  3. Over the staggered crossroads by the Lyttelton pub, into Hall Lane
  4. The main gates to Hagley Hall are 200 metres on the right

Directions by Train:

The nearest train station is Hagley. This is on the line from Birmingham Moor Street station and the trains run regularly. The train station is about 1.5 miles from Blue Door Bakery Studio.

  1. Walk out of the train station, past the ticket office and through the car park bearing left.
  2. When you meet the road, walk right following the road to a cross roads with traffic lights.
  3. Turn left at these lights and cross the road.
  4. Walk up this road, up a slight hill until you reach Middlefield Lane on your right.
  5. Walk all the way up Middlefield Lane until you reach a main dual carriageway road at the top.
  6. Cross this road at the crossing and turn up the road to the side of the Aston Martin garage.
  7. Walk up this road until you see Hall Drive on your left.
  8. Turn into Hall Drive and walk until you see a sharp left hand bend, the entrance to Hagley Hall is in front of you.
