TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to alter our these conditions at any time.

Classes, Workshops and Parties

Please choose the date you book a class carefully as we aren’t able to offer refunds if you cancel. If you wish to change the date of your class and give us 2 WEEKS NOTICE, if we can re-sell the class place, you can change your booking to a gift voucher or another class date. There will be a £25 administration charge for this.

If you give us less than 2 weeks notice to not attend a class, for any reason, unfortunately as we will have turned other people away from the class, we cannot transfer your booking or provide a refund. We strongly suggest you consider taking a policy to cover emergency cancellations, you can buy these from http://www.cancelsure-insurance.co.uk/.

In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel a class, workshop or party, we will refund you in full. We we not be liable for reimbursing any expenses or costs resulting from us cancelling a workshop or class, for example (but not limited to)travel arrangements. By booking your class or workshop with us you accept that our liability is fully limited to the cost of the class.

You attend our workshops completely at your own risk, we will not be liable for any injuries or accidents that occur during your workshop.

During our workshops, we do take photographs, if you’d prefer not to have your photo taken or used in any material, please let us know.

If you would like to use photographs of the cakes you have made in the workshop on Facebook, Flickr, Twitter etc. you are welcome to do so, but please ALWAYS credit them with a note saying that they were made with at a Blue Door Bakery class with a link to our webpage.

We reserve the right to alter course and workshop content at any time.

Intellectual Property

All content on Blue Door Bakery’s website, Facebook page, Twitter and Flickr account is the intellectual property of Blue Door Bakery. By attending a course with Blue Door Bakery you agree not to copy or imitate this content for your own commercial purposes following the course. This includes Blue Door Bakery cake designs and course content.

If you run cupcake classes yourself or plan on starting to host cupcake classes or workshops, you MAY NOT use the cupcakes you have made during your class to promote your own classes or your business.

You may not use designs, lesson plans, class format, photographs, teaching techniques, pre class information, notes, wording or any other elements of the Blue Door Bakery class/workshop you attend for your own classes or the promotion of your own classes.

When booking a class, workshop or party please tell us if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.The workshops are held in a domestic kitchen, if you have a severe allergy, before booking please consider whether this is an appropriate environment for you to enjoy the class in.

Delivery

We are happy to delivery cakes, we will charge for this. When you get in touch to let us know where you are we will give you a price for delivery if you ask for this service.

Please make sure that you provide us with the correct address and postcode of your venue. This is for your cakes to be delivered safely. If you request that we leave cakes somewhere or with someone on your behalf, this is entirely your responsibility. We will not be liable if they do not arrive with you safely after we have handed them over and/or set the up. Please tell us in advance if you’d like us to get a receipt from the person receiving the cakes.

We will agree a date and normally, a time, for delivery, and we will always endeavour to stick to this subject to disaster or a flat tyre. For weekend and wedding deliveries this will always be before 12 noon. We will ALWAYS arrange delivery (and set up) in good time to allow for any such disasters and we also always have a back up plan for delivery.

We can’t be held responsible for any damage to the cakes or the stand after we have delivered them to you or your venue.

Stand Hire

We hire stands for £30 (plus a deposit which will be returned to you when we receive the undamaged stand back within 1 week of the date we delivered). You are responsible for returning the stand to us with the 1 week period, you can do this by posting it to us (we suggest you use an insured postage method) or dropping it off to us. We can collect it for a small charge, depending on where your venue is. If the stand is received back with any pieces missing or in an unfit condition, we will retain the whole despoit.

Booking and Payment for Orders

To secure your booking with us we will always ask for a deposit of 30% of your total order value. Your date is not secure until we have received those cleared funds. The balance of the cost of your order is due, cleared, 4 weeks prior to your event.

If you ask us to invoice you and book in your order, we take this as confirmation that you want to go ahead, if you decide to cancel your booking a 30% deposit/cancellation fee will remain due.

We will produce your cakes/display exactly as detailed on your booking form (that we send with your final invoice). Please check this very carefully when we send it to you as if there is something you want that isn’t on this form, it won’t be included, so please add it and send the form back to us. By paying your invoice, you are confirming that what is detailed on that form is exactly what you want us to provide.

You can pay by Paypal, credit or debit card (via Paypal link) or by cheque made payable to Blue Door Bakery Limited.

Descriptions

We have done our best to ensure our descriptions and content on the website is accurate but we cannot be held responsible for any slight errors.
