A chance to learn some exciting new techniques, including creating sugarpaste stripes, checks and polka dots. Create seriously cute bunting for your cupcakes, hand-made fabric look flowers and use moulds effectively.

This informal, friendly class covers a variety of techniques and is suitable for complete beginners . During the day you spend with us, (10.30am until about 3.30pm) you will…

- Learn to use and handle florist paste to make effective decorations, including fabric style flowers.

- Use sugarpaste to create perfectly placed polka dots.

- Create strip and check effect tops for your cupcakes.

- Learn to prepare, colour and use modelling paste with moulds.

- Create seriously cute bunting for your cupcakes using our own printed icing ‘fabric’.

- Covering and finishing cupcakes with sugarpaste tops for a right ‘on trend’ finish.

You’ll get hands-on and decorate 12 cupcakes (that we baked earlier for you) to take home, using the numerous techniques you’ve mastered through the day!

Location:
Our beautiful purpose fitted professional cake studio in Hagley, Worcestershire (DY9). About 11 miles from Birmingham, on the train line from Birmingham Snow Hill Station.

Price:
This workshop costs £125 per person for the day workshop, including lunch, all materials, notes of what you’ve learnt and your boxed and beautifully decorated dummy cake.
